We are introducing a spectator’s code of conduct which will set a precedent in bringing down the levels of abuse aimed at match day officials in football.
The League will now operate a zero tolerance policy with regards to bad language and abuse of referees and their assistants from the touchlines.
Teams must follow the set of guidelines and they must ask anyone abusing the following rules to leave the ground.
The guidelines prohibit:
Constantly and forcefully questioning an official’s decision
Accusing an official of cheating
Personally insulting an official
Swearing
One side of the pitch must be coned off at 2 metres and spectators must stand behind that coned off line, crossing that line constantly (Unless entering the pitch to see to an injured player) will constitute an offence.
Spectators must not stand at neither end of the pitch near the goals,
Both coaches and their substitutes to stand the opposite side of the pitch to the spectators.
It has been suggested by several teams that we introduce linesmen for 7 a-side matches but as we cannot make it compulsory, so we would like to make it voluntary, so if both teams at a match agree then they can be used, for ball out of play and for fouls throws.
FAIR PLAY IN FOOTBALL
means that EVERYONE connected with football
shows understanding of and respect for the Laws of the Game
supports the belief that the game should be played in an entertaining and positive way<
behaves on and off the field in a sporting manner towards all others involved, be they
players, officials or spectators, irrespective of results
